2017 Cabernet Sauvignon
Abela Vineyard
Rutherford / Napa Valley
The Abela vineyard is a small alluvial fan, on which we have planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. This vineyard was replanted to the current vines from 2002 through 2004. The vineyard is well drained, putting more control into the hands of our vineyard and winemaking teams. The wines from Abela boast beautiful structure and color with very refined tannins.
Aromas & Flavors
Torcia Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits aromas of ripe Bing cherries, raspberries and plums along with hints of marjoram and fresh sage. The oak notes are gentle, allowing Abela’s amazing fruit character to shine. The refined tannins provide a robust mouthfeel that tapers gently into a long and lush finish.

The Abela vineyard is located on our estate in the Rutherford appellation, which has an unsurpassed reputation for producing world-class Cabernets. The appellation is located in the center of Napa Valley and boasts well-drained soils that promote intense flavors in the finished wine. The unique terroir of the Abela vineyard’s alluvial fan allows our skilled winemaking team to create a delicious wine with amazing fruit character.
